vertebral artery segments
the four segments, V1–V4, into which the vertebral artery is divided clinically. The V1 segment corresponds to the prevertebral part (pars prevertebralis arteriae vertebralis) of the artery; V2 corresponds to the cervical part (pars cervicalis arteriae vertebralis); V3 corresponds to the atlantic part (pars atlantica arteriae vertebralis); V4 corresponds to the intracranial part (pars intracranialis arteriae vertebralis).
