opercular part of middle cerebral artery
the third segment of the middle cerebral artery (M3 segment), beginning at the top of the insula as the vessel turns laterally within the lateral cerebral (sylvian) fissure, passing through and supplying the opercula, and ending at the lateral surface of the cerebral hemisphere.
