ce·men·to·cyte (sə-menґto-sīt) [cemento- + -cyte] a cell in the lacunae of cellular cementum, ranging in shape from round to oval or flattened, and exhibiting numerous protoplasmic processes extending from its free surface. Called also cement cell.
