ramus lateralis rami posterioris nervi thoracici
[TA] lateral branch of posterior branch of thoracic nerve: the lateral of the terminal divisions of the posterior branch; it supplies first its corresponding levator costae muscle and then the longissimus thoracis and iliocostalis thoracis muscles. The lower branches pierce the latissimus dorsi and supply the skin of the back.
