[TA] anterior branches of sacral nerves: branches of the five sacral spinal nerves; the upper four emerge from the sacrum through the anterior foramina and contribute to the sacral plexus, and the fifth emerges through the sacral hiatus and, with a communication from the fourth, contributes to the coccygeal plexus. Called also rami ventrales nervorum sacralium [TA alternative].
