non-specific serine/threonine protein kinase

non-specific serine/threonine protein kinase
non-spe·cif·ic ser·ine/thre·o·nine pro·tein ki·nase (non″spə-sifґik sērґēn threґo-nēn proґtēn kiґnās) [EC 2.7.11.1] a group comprising those protein-serine/threonine kinases that do not have a transmembrane domain, do not have an activating compound, and have either no or unknown specificity. Cf. receptor protein serine/threonine kinase.
