lamina prevertebralis fasciae cervicalis
[TA] prevertebral layer of cervical fascia: the layer of deep cervical fascia that is anterior to the vertebrae and posterior to the trachea and esophagus; it invests the scalene and levator scapulae muscles and is continuous laterally with the membrana suprapleuralis. Called also prevertebral fascia.
