Askanazy cells

Askanazy cells
large granular eosinophilic cells, rich in mitochondria, found in the thyroid gland in autoimmune thyroiditis and HÑŒrthle cell tumors. Called also HÑŒrthle c's, interfollicular c's, oxyphil c's, and oxyphils.
