HYCOSY
(hysterosalpingo-contrast sonography)
an out-patient technique that tests for blocked Fallopian tubes. Using transvaginal ultrasonography and an echo contrast medium, flow along the tubes can be reliably visualized. See also Doppler ultrasound.
