tri·fo·li·o·sis (tri″fo-le-oґsis) a disease usually seen in horses, marked by photosensitization and irritation of the oral mucous membranes, sometimes with liver damage; attributed to the eating of Trifolium hybridum (hybrid clover) and related plants.
