Trifolium

Trifolium
Tri·fo·li·um (tri-foґle-əm) the clovers, a genus of herbs commonly fed to livestock. T. hyґbridum, the hybrid clover, can cause trifoliosis. T. reґpens, the white clover, contains cyanogenetic compounds and can cause cyanide poisoning. The flower heads of T. pratenґse, the red clover, are used medicinally.
