Rainey George (1801-1884)
British anatomist. A lecturer on anatomy by profession, Rainey also was the author of a book on the formation of shell and bone and of papers on histology, both normal and pathological. In an 1857 article on the process of calcification of tissues, he described Rainey's corpuscles.
