mi·cro·ar·ray (miґkro-ə-ra″) an arrangement of DNA samples, consisting of a set of DNA spots, typically 200 μm or less in diameter, on a substrate; used for automated high-throughput matching of known and unknown DNA samples. Cf. macroarray.
