vena lingularis: [TA] lingular vein: a vein draining the lingular segments of the superior lobe of the left lung, emptying into the left superior pulmonary vein and formed by the union of superior and inferior parts. Called also ramus lingularis venae pulmonalis sinistrae superioris [TA alternative].
