a quadrivalent vaccine prepared from the viruslike particles of the major capsid protein of human papillomavirus types 6, 11, 16, and 18, which are responsible for the great majority of cases of condyloma acuminatum and cervical cancer; administered intramuscularly to girls and young women between the ages of 9 and 26 for the prevention of condyloma acuminatum and neoplastic diseases caused by susceptible types.
