septicemic tularemia
typhoidal tularemia the most serious form of tularemia, which may be caused by swallowing an inoculum of the pathogen or by inhaling the organisms while chewing contaminated food; symptoms include abdominal pain, high fever, and other symptoms similar to those of typhoid fever. Oropharyngeal involvement and pneumonia and pleural effusion are also sometimes seen.
