Trichomonas tenax

Trichomonas tenax
a commensal species found in the mouths of primates, having four anterior flagella; it is most often seen in the tartar around teeth, cavities of carious teeth, pockets associated with periodontal disease, and tonsillar crypts. Called also T. buccalis.
