[TA] anterolateral sulcus of medulla oblongata: a longitudinal sulcus on the anterior surface of the medulla oblongata, lateral to the pyramid, from which emerge the fibers of the hypoglossal nerve. Called also ventrolateral s. of medulla oblongata.
