bronchial breath sounds

bronchial breath sounds
breath sounds with a high pitch like that of blowing through a tube. In healthy persons they are heard over the normal manubrium sterni on auscultation during respiration. When heard elsewhere they are pathologic and may indicate areas of adjacent consolidated or compressed lung. Called also bronchial breathing and bronchial or tubular respiration.
