small nuclear RNA

small nuclear RNA
(snRNA) any of an abundant class of small RNA molecules found in the nucleus in eukaryotes; five uracil-rich snRNA's (U1, U2, U4, U5, U6) occur complexed with proteins as small nuclear ribonucleoproteins (snRNP's) and play a role in posttranscriptional RNA processing.
