ramus transversus arteriae circumflexae femoris medialis
transverse branch of medial circumflex femoral artery: a branch that passes between the quadratus femoris and adductor magnus muscles, supplying them, and then turning around the femur to anastomose with the transverse branch of the lateral circumflex femoral artery and with other arteries, deep to the gluteus maximus muscle.
