[TA] dorsal branch of posterior intercostal artery: a branch arising from a posterior intercostal artery, passing backward with the dorsal branch of the corresponding intercostal nerve to supply the posterior thoracic wall; it has several spinal branches and a medial and a lateral cutaneous branch.
