elasmobranch poisoning

elasmobranch poisoning
a form of ichthyosarcotoxism seen after ingestion of certain toxic sharks and skates. One type results from eating the muscle tissue of the shark Somniosus microcephalus. Another type is hypervitaminosis A from eating the liver of any of various species.
