parenchyma prostatae
[TA] parenchyma of prostate glandular substance consisting of 30 to 50 small compound tubulosaccular or tubuloalveolar glands, making up the bulk of the prostate; their excretory ducts empty into the prostatic urethra. The parenchyma is surrounded by muscular tissue and permeated by muscular strands.
