Parelaphostrongylus
Pa·rel·a·pho·stron·gy·lus (pə-rel″ə-fo-stronґjĭ-lus) a genus of nematodes of the family Protostrongylidae. P. teґnuis is normally a harmless parasite of the white-tailed deer, but sometimes it invades the central nervous system of other ruminant species, including sheep and goats, causing fatal neurological disease.
