- [TA] medial dorsal nucleus of thalamus: the largest of the medial nuclei of the thalamus, having a rostral magnocellular part and a caudolateral parvocellular part, both of which make extensive intrathalamic connections with most of the other thalamic nuclei and with the frontal and temporal lobes. Called also dorsomedial n. of thalamus.
