[TA] dorsal nucleus of medial geniculate body: the larger, dorsal part of the medial geniculate nucleus, receiving ascending auditory fibers from the inferior colliculus as well as afferent projections from some nonauditory areas of the brainstem, and projecting to the auditory cortex.
