[TA] pectoral axillary lymph nodes: four or five axillary lymph nodes along the inferior border of the pectoralis minor muscle near the lateral thoracic artery; they receive lymph from the skin and muscles of the anterior and lateral thoracic walls and mammary gland and drain into the central and apical nodes. Called also nodi lymphoidei axillares anteriores [TA alternative] and anterior axillary lymph nodes.
