- α-mannosidase
- α-man·no·si·dase (man-ōsґĭ-dās) [EC 3.2.1.24] an enzyme of the hydrolase class that catalyzes the hydrolysis of terminal, nonreducing, α-linked mannose residues from mannosides, a step in the metabolism of N-linked oligosaccharides in glycoproteins. Deficiency of the lysosomal form of the enzyme, an autosomal recessive trait, results in α-mannosidosis.
