- β-mannosidase
- β-man·no·si·dase (man-ōsґĭ-dās) [EC 3.2.1.25] an enzyme of the hydrolase class that catalyzes the cleavage of terminal, nonreducing, β-linked mannose residues from mannosides, a step in the metabolism of N-linked oligosaccharides of glycoproteins. Deficiency of the enzyme, inherited as an autosomal recessive trait, results in β-mannosidosis.
