ganglion superius nervi vagi
[TA] superior ganglion of vagus nerve: a small ganglion on the vagus nerve in the jugular foramen, giving off a meningeal and an auricular branch and containing cell bodies for some of the afferent fibers of the nerve. Called also rostral g. of vagus nerve, g. rostralis nervi vagi, and jugular g. of vagus nerve. See also g. inferius nervi vagi.
