polycystic liver disease

polycystic liver disease
any of several congenital conditions in which the liver develops cysts and sometimes Meyenburg complexes, often in association with polycystic kidney disease. An autosomal recessive type develops in childhood and can be rapidly fatal; an autosomal dominant type develops more gradually in adulthood and has a less grave prognosis.
