cysteine endopeptidase
cys·te·ine en·do·pep·ti·dase (sisґte-ēn en″do-pepґtĭ-dās) [EC 3.4.22] any of a group of endopeptidases containing at the active site a cysteine residue involved in catalysis; the group includes papain and several cathepsins. Called also thiol endopeptidase.
