N-acetylmuramic acid
N-ac·e·tyl·mu·ram·ic ac·id (as″ə-təl-) (as″ə-tēl″mu-ramґik) a polysaccharide constituent of bacterial cell walls; it is composed of N-acetylglucosamine coupled to lactic acid.
