Chief Nursing Officer
the government's chief nursing adviser, who is responsible for providing an expert professional contribution and advice on nursing, midwifery, and health visiting matters to ministers and senior officials. There are separate Chief Nursing Officers for England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
