Nuel's space n(y)ü-'elz- n a fluid-filled space within the organ of Corti called also space of Nuel
Nu·el nue-el Jean-Pierre (1847-1920)
Belgian physician. Nuel served as professor of otology and physiology at several Belgian medical schools. In 1873 he published the results of his observations on the microscopic anatomy of the cochlea. This work contains his description of the space found within the organ of Corti that now bears his name.
