nervus ter·mi·na·lis -.tər-mə-'nā-ləs n, pl nervi ter·mi·na·les -(.)lēz a group of ganglionated nerve fibers that arise in the cerebral hemisphere near where the nerve tract leading from the olfactory bulb joins the temporal lobe and that pass anteriorly along this tract and the olfactory bulb through the cribriform plate to the nasal mucosa called also terminal nerve

[TA] terminal nerve: the collection of nerve filaments found in the pia mater between the olfactory bulb and the crista galli, and passing through the cribriform plate to the nasal mucosa; ganglion cells occur along their course.
