Mil·ler-Ab·bott tube 'mil-ər-'ab-ət- n a double-lumen balloon-tipped rubber tube used for the purpose of decompression in treating intestinal obstruction

American physicians. Miller and Abbott introduced their intestinal tube in 1934. Three years later Abbott devised another tube, this one for use in the postoperative care of gastroenterostomy cases.
