lin·a·ma·rin (lin″ə-mahґrin) a toxic cyanogenetic glycoside found in flax (Linum usitatissimum) and lima beans (Phaseolus limensis), which can cause cyanide poisoning in animals that eat linseed, lima beans, or the plants in large quantities. Called also phaseolunatin.
