le·vo·flox·a·cin (le″vo-flokґsə-sin) a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent used in the treatment of infection by susceptible organisms, including bronchitis, community-acquired pneumonia, pyelonephritis, urinary tract infections, acute maxillary sinusitis, and skin and soft tissue infections; administered orally, intravenously, and, in the treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis, applied topically to the conjunctiva.
