leu·co·cy·to·zoo·no·sis (loo″ko-si″to-zo″o-noґsis) an acute malaria-like protozoal disease of domestic fowl, including chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys, caused by heavy infection with species of Leucocytozoon, and characterized by anemia, leukocytosis, and hepatosplenomegaly, which may result in death.
