Küm·mell's disease 'k(y)ü-məlz-, 'kim-əlz- n a syndrome following compression fracture of a vertebra that involves spinal pain, intercostal neuralgia, and motor disturbances of the legs
Küm·mell 'kue-məl Hermann (1852-1937)
German surgeon. Kümmell discovered in 1891 a syndrome that results from traumatic spondylitis and published a description of Kümmell's disease in 1892.
