2) the syndrome resulting from hyperadrenocorticism that is often a complication of medication with adrenal hormones, fractions, or stimulants

hy·per·adre·no·cor·ti·cism (hi″pər-ə-dre″no-korґtĭ-siz-əm) abnormally increased secretion of adrenocortical hormones, as in Cushing syndrome. Called also hypercorticalism and hypercorticism.
