Gart·ner's duct 'gart-nərz-, 'gert- n the remains in the female mammal of a part of the Wolffian duct of the embryo called also duct of Gartner
Gart·ner 'gert-nər Hermann Treschow (1785-1827)
Danish surgeon and anatomist. Gartner discovered the duct that now bears his name in a sow and in 1822 wrote a detailed description. The structure was apparently first discovered by Marcello Malpighi about 1681.
