berloque dermatitis (ber-lokґ) [Fr. berloque, Ger. Berlocke pendant] photodermatitis on areas of the skin to which certain types of cologne, perfume, or other toilet articles have been applied; the original causative substance was bergamot oil in the toilet articles, but other substances can cause the same condition. Lesions are brown pigmented patches, often shaped like pendants. Called also perfume d.
