Preauricular tag

Preauricular tag
A common minor anomaly, this is a rudimentary tag of ear tissue. It often contains a core of cartilage. The tag is typically located just in front of the ear (auricle) and is therefore called a preauricular tag.

a rudimentary appendage of auricular tissue sometimes found on the face along the line of union of the first pharyngeal arch; it may or may not be accompanied by microtia. Called also accessory tragus.
