sul·fin·py·ra·zone (sul″fin-piґrə-zōn) [USP] a sulfoxide analogue of phenylbutazone, used as a uricosuric agent in treatment of gout; administered orally. It also prolongs platelet survival and inhibits platelet adherence to subendothelial cells and prostaglandin synthesis and has been studied as an antithrombotic agent.
