se·mus·tine (sə-musґtēn) the methyl analogue of lomustine, a cytotoxic alkylating agent of the nitrosourea (q.v.) group, used as an antineoplastic, primarily for treatment of brain tumors, colorectal carcinoma, gastric carcinoma, Hodgkin disease, and malignant melanoma. Called also methyl CCNU and MeCCNU.
