phen·ir·amine mal·e·ate (fĕ-nirґə-mēn) [USP] an antihistamine with sedative properties, used in the treatment of allergic disorders, including rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and pruritic skin disorders; administered orally, intranasally, or topically to the conjunctiva. It is also used as an ingredient in cough and cold preparations, administered orally.
