phaco·ana·phy·lax·is (fak″o-an″ə-fə-lakґsis) [phaco- + anaphylaxis] hypersensitivity to the protein of the crystalline lens of the eye, induced by escape of material from the lens capsule. See also lens-induced uveitis.
